Bird Watching at Hartsholme
‘Birdwatching for beginners’ takes place on the first Sunday of every month. These are free guided walks every month for both RSPB members and non-members, everyone is welcome. Meet outside the information centre in Hartsholme Country Park at 10.30 am.
Hartsholme Country Park can be a very rewarding site for birdwatching.
The resident Heronry on the island in Hartsholme Lake can produce excellent views of Young herons in spring.
Kingfisher can be seen regularly around the lake, with the rare and elusive Lesser spotted Woodpecker being an annual visitor.
Good luck with your birding and remember to let the park rangers know what you’ve seen.
