The variety of wildlife in Witham Valley Country Park may surprise you! There is an impressive selection of wildlife living in or visiting these green spaces.

From insects such as dragonflies and butterflies, to amphibians such as frogs and newts, there are plenty of species to identify. Snakes and lizards have also been found in these areas.

Bats and birds are frequent inhabitants, badgers and hedgehogs too, even the occasional deer has been spotted when they have emerged into open spaces. Where there are rivers you may even notice signs of otters that have been rummaging around throughout the night.
